Keep it safe

Saving your eSIM QR code and order details safely

Your eSIM QR code works like a key. How to store it, what to keep alongside it, and what never to share — whether you paid by crypto or card.

Treat the QR code like a key, not a receipt

An eSIM QR code (and the manual activation code beside it, sometimes called the LPA string) contains what a phone needs to download your eSIM profile. In many cases a profile can only be installed once, so if someone else scans it first, your plan could end up on their device. That's why we show the code only after a verified payment, and why we suggest keeping it private — avoid posting a screenshot in group chats or social media, even to ask for help.

What to save, and where

Before you travel, store these together somewhere you can reach offline:

  • Your order number and checkout reference.
  • The email address you used — order lookup needs both email and order number.
  • The QR code or manual activation code, saved in a private note or password manager rather than your public photo stream.
  • The plan name and validity, so you know when data runs out.

Install before you leave, activate when you land

Installing needs an internet connection, so it's easiest to add the eSIM at home over Wi-Fi. Some plans start their validity when the eSIM first connects in the destination; others start on install or purchase. The plan details page shows the activation policy when it's available. Once installed, you can usually leave the eSIM switched off until you arrive, then turn it on and enable data roaming for that line.

Don't delete the eSIM by accident

Removing an eSIM from your phone's settings usually deletes the profile permanently, and many profiles can't be reinstalled from the same QR. If you're troubleshooting, try toggling the line off and on, or restarting your phone, before removing anything. If you're changing phones, contact support first to ask what's possible for your plan.

What we'll never ask you for

Our team will never ask for your wallet seed phrase, private keys, card PIN or full card number. Support messages only need your order number, the email you used and, for crypto issues, the transaction hash. Share it privately with support because it can link your purchase to public blockchain activity. If anyone claiming to be us asks for more, don't send it.
