Why your eSIM doesn't appear the instant you hit send
Card payments depend on the bank and may require an extra verification step. Crypto works differently: your transaction is broadcast to a public network and has to be included in a block, with further blocks increasing confidence in settlement. The block containing the transaction is its first confirmation; later blocks add confirmations. We only issue your eSIM once the payment processor reports the payment as verified, which protects you and us from payments that are later dropped or reversed on-chain.
The states you might see
After checkout, the payment page and our status page show one of a few states:
- Pending — the invoice is open or your transaction has been seen but isn't confirmed yet. This is normal. Keep the page open or come back later with your reference.
- Paid / verified — payment is confirmed and eSIM preparation begins. The status page shows when the QR and installation details are ready; email delivery follows automatically.
- Underpaid — a transaction arrived but for less than the invoice amount, often because an exchange deducted its fee. The eSIM isn't issued automatically.
- Expired — the payment window closed. Check your saved payment status before starting another checkout, especially if you already sent funds.
- Failed or cancelled — the payment didn't complete. Nothing is issued and your cart is still saved for another try.
How long confirmations take
There's no single answer, because it depends on the network, how busy it is and the fee your wallet attached. Some networks settle in under a minute; Bitcoin blocks arrive roughly every ten minutes on average, and a low-fee transaction may wait for several blocks before being included. We'd rather tell you honestly that it varies than quote a time we can't guarantee. Our status page checks automatically, so you don't need to keep refreshing.
What to do in each situation
If it's pending, wait — and don't pay a second time, because a duplicate payment creates a second problem to untangle. If it's underpaid or you paid after expiry, contact support with your order reference and the transaction hash; we'll look at the specific payment. If it failed or you cancelled, check the saved payment status before returning to checkout. Retrying with the same cart, email, method and total reuses the same checkout request, which helps avoid accidental duplicate orders.
Keep your reference
Every checkout shows an order reference with a copy button before you're sent to pay. Paste it somewhere safe. If the payment tab closes, your phone dies or the confirmation email is delayed, that reference is how you — and we — find the order again.
